  • Rules of the „STOK” Ski School (expand)

    1. During the course, Customers at the “Stok” Ski School may use the lifts without waiting in line.
    2. Class prices do not include fees for the use of lifts by Customers. Before starting the classes, tickets should be bought at the register at the Ski Center or in the school office. Specially for our customers, we have cards tailored to the duration of the course. In addition to the generally available tickets, the office of the ski school sells 1-hour, 4-day and 5-day cards, tailored to the needs of the children participating in the courses “Holidays with Slopie” and “Super Sloper”.
    3. “Stok” Ski School does not provide insurance in the event of an accident. Clients are recommended to purchase their own insurance.
    4. Information about the availability of instructors, booking and paying for lessons can only be acquired in the school offices. To make a booking, contact us by phone or via email. Customer Support will send you an application form that you are to fill in, and then you will receive a booking confirmation.
    5. One lesson ls 55 minutes (2h = 110 minutes, 3h = 165 minutes).
    6. 10-hr and 20-hr packages can be used in any manner throughout the winter season. When purchasing a package that includes prices in high and low season, a mixed price will be calculated.
    7. Payment for lessons booked via the booking system, but not paid for should be settled no later than 30 minutes before starting the lesson; otherwise, the system will automatically cancel your booking.
    8. Refunds for the lessons already paid for, or changes to the date of a lesson, are possible 30 minutes before the scheduled start of training at the latest.
    9. Customers of the “Stok” Ski School meet with the instructor in a specially designated area, located across the entrance to the “Stok” Ski School.
    10. Prior to the lesson, the Customer is obliged to provide the Instructor with detailed and accurate information on their skiing skills, as well as health, physical fitness, and any problems that may affect the customer’s training. Providing this information is to ensure the safety of the customer and the highest quality of services provided by the “Stok” Ski School.
    11. The customer is obliged to report to the Instructor any disturbing symptoms during the class, in particular: dizziness, pain, suffered bruises. In such cases, further student participation in the class is based on the Instructor’s decision.
    12. The instructor may refuse to conduct lessons when the client is under the influence of alcohol (or other drugs).
    13. Customers who wish for lessons to be conducted in the snowpark are requested to sign an appropriate statement in the Ski School office.
    14. The instructor may refuse to conduct training in the absence of appropriate equipment: a helmet (we remind you that children under the age of 16 are statutorily obliged to use helmets.), skiing or snowboard gear, lift pass. In such cases, “Stok” Ski School is not responsible for preventing participation in class activities.
    15. The “Stok” Ski School does not provide the equipment (skis, boots, snowboards, helmets, etc.) nor is it responsible for the condition of sports equipment used by customers, with subject to point. 16.
    16. The instructor is obliged to check if the customer’s equipment is not faulty. In the case of defect of equipment, refer to point no. 14. The instructor has no right to interfere with the position of the force needed to release the ski bindings. In the case of poorly aligned bindings, poorly selected skis or other equipment, the instructor will indicate to the nearest service or ski rental, where it will be possible to adjust or replace the equipment.
    17. Minors may only attend classes with the knowledge and consent of their parents or legal guardian. The commencement of training with a child under 14 years requires the guardian to sign a declaration.
    18. During the course, instructors are authorized to issue customers – including minors – binding instructions, as well as use orders and prohibitions required to ensure the proper conduct of lessons and the safety of both customers and other persons present on the slope. The instructor may refuse to continue the lesson in case of the customer’s continued non-compliance with the recommendations given.
    19. The “Stok” Ski School reserves the right to cancel the course if the number of participants in the group are less than 3.
    20. Criteria for allocation to the “Holidays with Slopie” groups:
      • orange level accepts children who are 5 years of age and all children who are beginners
      • brown level accepts children who are at least 6 years of age and are able to turn and to stop, or those children who have the orange level passed in their progress book
      • silver level accepts children who already ski on blue runs and do not have problems with the useage of ski lifts, or those who have the brown level passed in their progress book. Allocation to the group is decided by staff of the “Stok” Ski School
      • Criteria for the allocation to the “Super Sloper” groups:
    21. “The Rookie” level accepts children, who are 9 years of age and do not know how to ride a snowboard;
      • “The Private” level accepts children who know how to perform skidded turns or those who have “ The Rookie” level passed in their progress book
      • “The Badass” level admits children who ride blue runs and have no trouble using ski lifts, or those who have “ The Private” level passed in their progress book. Allocation to the group is decided by staff of the “Stok” Ski School
    22. Participants will be assigned to the group on the basis of their skill level stated. The school reserves the right to transfer the customer to another group if it appears that the customer’s skills do not correspond to the level of the group to which he / she was assigned at the beginning of the course.
    23. “Stok” Ski School declares that during the course instructors will take due diligence in learning to ski or snowboard and provide knowledge about the correct behavior of the customer on the slope.
    24. Purchasing lessons constitutes acceptance of these Rules. “Stok” Ski School reserves the right to make changes in the content of these regulations during the ski season.

    These regulations come into force on 01.08.2017.

The conditions for obtaining and using the card are contained in the Loyalty Card Terms & Conditions of the SLOPE Ski School.

    General Provisions.

    These Terms & Conditions lay down the rules for granting and using the LOYALTY CARD, hereafter the CARD. The owner and issuer of the CARD is the SLOPE Ski School, based in Nowy Targ, hereinafter referred to as the SLOPE School. The CUSTOMER CARD grants its holder the right to a discount when using the services of the SLOPE School.

    1. Every adult who had purchased at least 40 hours of lessons over the course of a single winter season is eligible to receive the CARD.
    2. Receiving the CARD requires filling in and signing the questionnaire, which is attached as Appendix 1 hereto.
    3. The customer accepts the provisions contained in the Terms & Conditions upon signing the questionnaire.
    4. The CARD is valid indefinitely.
    5. The CARD user is the person who had filled in and personally signed the questionnaire form.
    6. The CARD is identified by an individual number and is registered in the database of the SLOPE School.
    7. The only person authorized to use the CARD is its holder, which means that the right to discounts and other privileges, resulting from holding the CARD cannot be ceded to another person.
    8. The CARD will be issued immediately after the application form has been filled in and signed.
    9. The SLOPE School reserves the right to refuse to issue the CARD, if the applicant fails to meet the requirements referred to in point 2.
    10. In case of loss or damage to the CARD, the holder should apply with to the SLOPE School with their ID card to issue a duplicate.
    11. The CARD gives the user the right to pay for lessons at reduced prices. Hourly lessons will be charged as in the case of 20-hour packages.
    12. To receive the discount, simply show your CARD. The CARD holder may be asked to show their proof of identity when using the CARD.
    13. Discounts and promotions for the CARD holder do not combine with occasional promotions and discounts addressed to all customers. The CARD holder chooses their favorable form of promotion.
    14. The LOYALTY CARD Terms & Conditions of the SLOPE School are valid from 15.12.2011.
    15. The SLOPE School reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions. Updated Terms & Conditions can be found at the SLOPE School headquarters and on www.szkolastok.pl.
    16. Changing the Terms & Conditions only requires a publication at the SLOPE School headquarters or on www.szkolastok.pl
