premium option*

NEW:Specialist for children 4–8 (one-to-one lessons)

An instructor with special STOK training in communication and motivation for the youngest skiers. Ideal when a child is just starting, is shy, has worries or simply needs a gentler pace and more movement-based games. A calm, safe introduction to snow. Limited availability.

Who is it for?

Children aged 4-8, including shy or sensitive children, those who've had an unsuccessful first go, or those who need more time to trust new places and people.

What sets it apart

Age-appropriate communication – we explain everything simply, visually and with humour.

Motivational tools and managing "tricky moments" (fear, ski lift anxiety, tears, group becoming distracted).

More movement games and recovery breaks – your child learns whilst feeling it's play, not "training".

Pace and goals matched to your child – feeling safe and happy matters more than distance covered.

Booking

Choose the "Specialist 4-8" option when booking a lesson (phone/email/office). It's a premium service – places are limited, so it's worth booking early.

Collect stickers and become a Slope Champion!

During sessions every child gets their Index – a personal log of adventures and small victories on the slopes. For engagement, attendance and steady progress, children collect colourful badges that show their development through the levels.

  • The Index isn't just a keepsake – it's motivation that grows with your child.
  • Each badge is a moment of joy.
  • It's when the instructor says: "I saw you nail it!"
  • It's the smile of a child who discovers: "I can do it!"
  • It's also a parent's peace of mind – the certainty that someone is genuinely watching, supporting and wholeheartedly working with their child.
  • With each level come not only new skills, but growing self-belief.
  • And at the end? Pride and happiness – because learning has become a proper adventure.

Frequently asked questions

  • From what age do you start?

Skiing: from the age of 4 (especially with our "Specialist 4-8" option). Snowboarding: we recommend starting from the age of 7. That way the child has the strength, balance and focus needed for safe learning.

  • How long is a lesson and what do you recommend to start?

To begin, 1×55 minutes works best for younger children or a first taster. For older children, 2×55 minutes usually gives the best results – time for warm-up, play and consolidating new skills.

  • Can I add a second child to a lesson?

Yes – you can add a second and third child (same discipline, similar level). It's cost-effective and children often have more fun in pairs or a small group. If there's a big difference in ability, we recommend separate lessons so each child learns at their own pace.

  • Do you skip queues and is a lift pass included?

During lessons we go straight past the queue, so your child skis more and spends less time getting cold waiting. A lift pass isn't included. At the STOK office you can buy dedicated lift passes matched to the lesson time (1-2 hours) valid only on the Białka lifts (Kotelnica/Bania/Kaniówka) – these aren't Tatry Super Ski passes.

  • Kit and helmet – what's compulsory?

A helmet is compulsory for children. Children bring their own kit; the instructor checks its basic condition and may refuse participation if the equipment is unsuitable or unsafe – safety always comes first.

  • Where do we meet the instructor?

At marked meeting points – you'll get the exact location in your booking confirmation. From the off, you know where to go and who you're meeting.

  • Which languages do you teach in?

Lessons in Polish and English; other languages on request and confirmed at booking (subject to instructor availability).

  • Is insurance included in the lesson?

No, personal accident cover isn't included in a private lesson – you can purchase the NoRiskSafeFun package from UNIQA through us. (Insurance is included with selected group courses.)

  • Can a parent watch the lesson?

Yes – please watch from the side of the piste so as not to distract your child or the instructor. Your child knows you're nearby whilst still having space to focus on the lesson.

  • Does my child need to be toilet-independent?

Yes, we require children to manage toilet needs independently; instructors don't assist with personal care. If needed, we'll contact you and take a break. For younger or less independent children we recommend private lessons (ideally with a "Specialist 4-8") with a parent nearby.

  • Qualifications and licences – who teaches my child?

We're a licensed SITN-PZN school – category D (teaching children) and SITS; every instructor holds SITN/PZN (ski) or SITS (snowboard) qualifications and has experience with children – we value patience, clear boundaries and a friendly approach

  • Specialist 4-8. How is it different from a standard lesson?

Enhanced teaching skills, motivating techniques, working with children's emotions, a gentler pace. The instructor runs the lesson so your child feels safe, looked after and proud of the small steps they're taking on snow.
